Habitats

Players build their own open wildlife park by placing animal and landscape tiles to create contiguous habitats: grassland, bush, rocks and water. Each animal tile specifies the combination of adjacent terrain it needs, so placement both adds the animal and contributes landscape that can satisfy other animals’ requirements. On each turn, a player takes a tile from one of three market positions, moves their marker, and draws a replacement tile to fill the vacancy. Over three seasons players add a limited number of tiles, compete for seasonal bonuses, and can add features like roads, trek spots and watchtowers to increase scoring. At game end, players score tiles according to whether each animal’s habitat needs are met; highest total wins.
