A historical simulation of the Battle of Albuera during the Peninsular War, as French forces confront a coalition of Spanish, Portuguese, and British troops in an effort to relieve the siege of Badajoz. Played on a period map, the game uses more than 400 counters representing infantry battalions, cavalry regiments and squadrons, artillery batteries, and notable commanders. Each turn covers twenty minutes, with hexes representing approximately 100 meters. Units have individual ratings for morale, movement, fire, bayonet combat, and range, creating tactical decisions that reflect the challenges of the historical battle. The system supports two-player games and solitaire study, with historical commentary included.
