Lost Ruins of Arnak: Surprise Shipment
A mysterious package arrives containing new artifacts, items, and exploration sites to add to an ongoing campaign on a jungle island. Players incorporate 50 new cards—30 artifacts and 20 items—plus two additional site tiles and a revised site into the existing map. Cards introduce new equipment and discovery options that modify deck-building and tableau choices, while the new and updated sites expand route planning and worker-placement decisions during each round.

How do I add the Surprise Shipment cards and tiles to the game?
Add its components to the base game; they’re compatible with all Lost Ruins of Arnak expansions. The expansion components are marked with a paw-print symbol (p. 1).
When a site lets me take back an idol, do I get the idol slot back too?
Yes. Return one idol from one of your idol slots; both the idol and its slot become available again. You may use idols as a free action before resolving this effect, even idols gained from discovering the site (p. 2).
When I use Waystones to swap sites, do the guardians and tokens move with them?
No. Only the two level I site tiles change places; guardians, tokens, and archaeologists stay where they are. Then activate one of the swapped sites (p. 7).
Can I use a card’s “for the rest of this round” effect more than once?
Yes. The Golden Wing and Plaster Casting effects last for the rest of the round and can be used multiple times (p. 5).
What happens if I need to gain Fear but the Fear deck is empty?
Take a fear tile instead of a Fear card. Fear tiles count as a Fear card in your play area for these effects; Hidden Fear also counts as a Fear card (p. 4).
Can I get a Tribute Altar with an effect that gives me an item for free or at a discount?
No. Those effects apply only to item cards, not Tribute Altar cards. When paying a Tribute Altar’s cost, you may use any combination of compasses and coins (p. 5).
