Merchant of Venus: The Variant Mini Expansion

A collection of variant rules and counters originally published in The General magazine for use with the base game. It supplies alternate setup options, new counters (agents, bases, second ships, mercenaries, extra forts and bonus markers), and rule changes that modify movement, combat, trading and cargo interactions. Each variant can be used independently or combined: examples include faster set-up by altering bonus marker placement, turning a specific asteroid into a mystery box, variable Nova Ball firepower, species-specific ship abilities and trade bonuses, a haggling/barter mechanic, and rules for additional agents and mercenary counters.
