Mutant: Year Zero Core Book

A post-apocalyptic tabletop role-playing game in which players portray heavily mutated humans living in a small, fragile settlement known as the Ark. Gameplay alternates between social and resource-management scenes inside the Ark—where players propose and develop projects for warfare, food, technology and culture—and expeditions into the surrounding Zone to scavenge food, artifacts and information. Characters use archetypal roles and unpredictable mutant powers, resolve actions with a skill-and-conflict system that stresses limited resources, and advance the settlement through base-building rules. The book supplies maps, random-generation tools, monsters, artifacts, ready-made zone sectors and a campaign outline to support sandbox and narrative play.
