Old-School Essentials Retro Adventure Game Core Rules

A rules-light fantasy adventure role-playing game focused on exploration, danger, monsters, and magic. Players create and advance characters, explore dungeons, wilderness, and seas, and resolve combat, hazards, spellcasting, and other challenges through clear, table-friendly rules. This modular core set provides the essential rules for play and can be expanded with additional rules modules for different styles of fantastic adventure. It is compatible with the classic 1981 Basic/Expert rules and is not a complete standalone game without further modules.
