Portobello Market

Players run stallholders at a bustling London market in 1901, aiming to secure prime pitch locations before rivals. On each turn they place stalls only on spaces occupied by the Bobby, but may spend cash to move the Bobby and access better spots. The game revolves around spatial placement and area control: arrange stalls to form lucrative alleys, block opponents, and maximize income from wealthy customers. Tactical placement, timing of cash expenditures, and reading other players’ plans determine who claims the most profitable stalls.

It's a good start to a game night, because it has some real meat despite its short length; and although I may be getting tired of the "market" theme, it works well enough here. I would recommend trying this game out - from a company that has marketed mostly children's games, this one is for everyone!
