Roolipelimanifesti

An introduction to roleplaying that surveys the history of the hobby, compares gaming cultures in different countries, explains key terminology, and examines how roleplaying games are created. It also considers topics such as sex, comic and disturbing experiences, and the ways games can change participants’ perspectives. Interviews with notable creators provide further views on roleplaying culture. The practical side is illustrated with a game inspired by the unsettling aspects of everyday life and by Nordic roleplaying design.
