Sails of Glory

Players command wooden warships in tactical Age of Sail engagements using painted 1/1000 miniatures, maneuver cards and a shared play surface. Each turn, players select maneuver cards in secret and simultaneously reveal them, place movement templates ahead of their ships and move the miniatures to the indicated positions; wind direction and, with advanced rules, sail settings affect available maneuvers. After movement, ships fire broadsides at targets within range and arc, resolving damage and positioning for subsequent turns. The rules adapt a prior aerial-combat system to simulate period-accurate handling and cannon combat among large sailing vessels.
