A rules-light system for playing Classic Traveller as a freeform science-fiction roleplaying game. Characters are defined by six characteristics, while the referee interprets modifiers and determines the effects of weapons, armour, vehicles, and other situations. Lifepath generation remains part of character creation, but only relevant skills and broad ability levels need to be recorded. An alternate rules set uses below-average, average, or above-average characteristics and gives each character four hits, with the referee deciding damage in combat.
