A standalone fantasy roleplaying rulebook based on the early 1970s tradition of tabletop adventure gaming. It combines rules from the original game and its early supplements, including character classes, monsters, spells, treasure, wilderness exploration, and dungeon adventures. The system uses simple, flexible rules for running campaigns, with streamlined combat and no skill-check subsystems. Players create characters and explore mythic fantasy settings while the game master prepares and adjudicates adventures. The rules can also be used with older modules and other retro-style campaigns.
