Swordsmen & Skeletons: Third Edition

A compact OGL-style heroic fantasy roleplaying game inspired by early fantasy systems and compatible with many older games and supplements. It includes three character classes, four races, equipment, combat and noncombat rules, spells, magic items, treasure and encounter tables, and monsters, supporting play through at least ninth level. The third edition adds rules for managing monstrous Hosts, recruiting Boon Companions and Monster Sidekicks, and playing as monstrous adventurers such as dragons, wraiths, harpies, and leprechauns. Legendary characters, powerful monsters, advanced spells, military companies, imperial offices, and Renown provide options for expanded and higher-powered campaigns.
