A tabletop roleplaying game based on the early, grittier comic-book setting, where mutated animals live on the fringes of modern human society. Character creation focuses on choosing an animal species and developing its mutations, abilities, and background; the core rules do not include human characters. Players use the Megaversal system to play mutant heroes and other unusual characters in adventures involving combat, investigation, and life alongside or against human society. The setting supports an adolescent-to-adult tone, with violence ranging from martial arts to gunfights.
