The Tough

This 24-page supplement introduces the tough, a rough-edged character who becomes more determined as injuries mount. It includes rules for the Battered condition, representing characters who grow more dangerous after being hurt. The book also provides guidelines for bringing modern vehicles into lower-technology fantasy campaigns. These rules cover character-scale encounters involving cars, motorcycles, boats, and other vehicles, as well as vehicle-versus-vehicle conflicts, using Progress Levels to define a campaign’s technological advancement.
