Players explore three tower levels, four dungeon levels, a sublevel, and a wilderness region reached through an interdimensional gate, with additional gates leading to four planar adventures. The setting includes 256 rooms across 24 levels and areas, supported by maps, keys, background information, and monster descriptions. Its naturalistic late-1970s megadungeon design emphasizes exploration of varied locations rather than a simple sequence of monsters and treasure.
