The heroes accompany Filora die Süderstrand, the last daughter of a once-influential merchant family from Riva, on an expedition along the frozen coasts of northern Aventuria. Their goal is to recover a nearly 400-year-old map leading to the fabled Land of Giants. From the high mountain pass known as the Gate of the Worlds, the expedition faces a cursed mountain, a mad priest, nameless forces, and the dangers of the merciless wilderness. Success may carry the heroes beyond the borders of the known world; failure means perishing in the ice.
