This two-game volume covers key battles of the Peninsular War. Talavera 20 recreates the July 1809 battle between Joseph Bonaparte’s French army and the combined British and Spanish forces under Sir Arthur Wellesley and Gregorio de la Cuesta. Bussaco 20 depicts Marshal Masséna’s 1810 invasion of Portugal against Wellesley’s British and Portuguese army. Players command opposing armies, maneuvering formations, managing alliances, and exploiting or defending strong positions. French forces must break through the Allied defenses, while the British and Spanish or Portuguese armies seek to hold their ground and withstand repeated attacks.
