La Bataille de Kulm, August 29-30, 1813

This addition to the La Bataille system covers the dramatic 1813 Battle of Kulm, where French forces under General Vandamme attempted to capture retreating Allied armies after Napoleon's victory at Dresden. Surrounded by Prussian and Austrian troops near a series of villages, Vandamme lost most of his corps and was captured, turning the campaign toward Napoleon's later defeat at Leipzig. The battle is presented in the full La Bataille style, with turns representing approximately 20 minutes, 100-meter hexes, and units scaled to infantry, cavalry, and artillery increments.
