Clinic: Deluxe Edition
Players manage competing clinics on a growing town center, admitting patients from a common pre-admissions queue and assigning them to appropriate services. On each turn, players hire doctors, nurses, and maintenance staff, construct new modules and specialized rooms, and add amenities such as parking to handle different case types. The game uses worker placement and resource management as players balance staff, facilities, and patient needs to earn income and reputation. The Deluxe edition updates and clarifies rules with beginner and expert setups, adds a solo variant, revises many bonuses and penalties, and includes wooden laser-cut meeples for cars and personnel.

Evan5.9 In this game players construct cynical hospitals where you hire doctors who each turn get one step worse at doing their jobs, and take on patients who you leave to languish in their illness until they get more profitable to cure. The interesting cornerstone of the game is the way you build out your hospital. You have a tight grid and many different tiles, each with it's own very specific placement rules. You want t build in such a way that your meeples can walk from adjacent tile to tile efficiently, which excitingly counts tiles on floors directly above an below them in additional to the normal directions. You also have a hard limit on the number of employees and patients you can gain which depends on how many parking spaces you've built. There are so many original ideas in this game, it's really a fantastic work, however it is very mathy, it's very unforgiving of mistakes and the minutia of what can go where gets a little but overwhelming in the context of everything else that's going on. It would have been nice for the game to include a tracker of some kind to keep an eye on your ever increasing upkeep costs vs your projected income. The graphic design has a few issues as well. Overall great experience, but largely a multiplayer solitaire puzzle that's just a little bit too complicated and just a little bit too long. ★ Art, Iconography and components functional ★ Clever or interesting mechanisms ★ Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players ☆ Multiple plays stay interesting ★ Low or mitigatable luck elements ★★★☆☆ Raw enjoyment
Viciados8.0 Fun game with too many rules, not a very fun to read manual, but after playing it gets better
Rules questions
Answered from the rulebook by Ludoya's rules assistant.
Do I have to spend a Build action to place a double tile?
No — double tiles can be built at any time, without using a Build action, and even on another player's turn (page 2).
Does a Double Treatment Room need a service hub and a supply room next to it to operate?
Yes — a Double Treatment Room must be adjacent to a service hub on the same floor and must have an adjacent supply room, although the supply room may be directly above or below the treatment room (pages 2, 4).
How many nurses does a doctor need to treat patients in a double treatment room?
If the doctor's color matches the patients' color no nurses are required; otherwise the doctor needs one nurse for each color-step difference between doctor level and patient severity, and each nurse can assist only one doctor per round (page 3).
How many parking spaces does the Huge Parking Lot provide and can cars park on its border squares?
The Huge Parking Lot provides 12 parking spaces, must be built on the ground floor, and no cars may be parked on the border squares of the two spaces it occupies (pages 2, 4).
Do double modules increase my facility upkeep?
Yes — each double module (including the double corridor) and each luxurious garden in your clinic costs $2 in upkeep (page 3).
How does movement in and out of a double tile work?
When someone moves out of a double tile they may move to any adjacent space: either of the two above, either of the two below, either of the two along each long edge, or one along each short edge; moving within a double tile takes 0 time (page 3).
