2020 · City Building
Glasgow
Players move around an abstract map of the city to gather resources, trigger special actions, and purchase building plans. Each visit provides brick, steel, or money (with hand-size limits) or grants access to two possible building blueprints that can be paid for and constructed. Buildings are placed to grow a shared grid starting from an initial placement, and later placements must be adjacent to existing structures. Different building types interact spatially and with one another — factories change income when neighbors appear, train stations score conditionally, and monuments yield direct points. The round-robin movement order is determined by who is furthest behind on the town circle, and the game ends when the twentieth building is placed, after which players score based on their constructed city.
