Mythos
Players take the role of investigators with double-sized character cards that track stats, abilities and story progress. On each turn players play one card from a 52+ card deck to meet the conditions of Adventure cards in their deck, scoring points and regaining Sanity when requirements are fulfilled. Card types include locations (one is usually occupied), allies, monsters, spells, tomes, artifacts and events; rounds end after two passes, provoking monster fights that can disable allies or reduce investigators’ Sanity. Players manage hand size, choose which cards to keep between rounds and draw back to 13, while using phobias and events to disrupt opponents and cycle the deck multiple times.
