Kolosszus Aréna

Bet on battling monsters in a fantasy colosseum while acting as spectators rather than combatants. Each round players secretly assign numbered power cards to creatures; the lowest-powered creature dies and is removed. Betting tokens and wagers influence control of creatures and can unlock their special abilities, creating tactical choices and diplomatic bluffing as players jockey for favorable outcomes. Scoring tracks winnings from successful bets; the player with the most winnings at the end wins the game.

Betting Card Game created by Reiner Knizia. I don't use to like Betting mechanics, but this game is an exception. The great art, the feeling of being on a mythical colosseum, and the clever hand management just makes me love it.

Nice bidding game with a fantastic setting. PROS - The basic rules are simple. The game's still not great for beginners, as they have to remember the special abilities, but it isn't too complicated. - Good replayability as some fighters are not used in each game. CONS - Bluffing is essential, so if your players don't like it just pick another game. - Not a great game for non-gamers, but probably too simple for gamers, which leaves it in an ackward position.
