Gringo!: The Mexican War 1846-48

This post-Napoleonic wargame covers five battles of the Mexican-American War: Buena Vista, Monterey, Cerro Gordo, El Molino del Rey, and Chapultepec. Scenarios range from mountain assaults and fortified positions to street fighting in Monterey and the assault on Chapultepec fortress. Players command American and Mexican forces using streamlined GBACW rules adapted for smaller armies. Special rules cover urban combat and square formations, while distinct commanders and military leaders influence each battle. Each turn represents one hour, with hexes covering 45–125 yards and strength points representing 50 men.
