Players lead expeditions for explorers seeking challenging journeys, building the technology, provisions, and clothing needed to meet their demands. The game lasts three rounds, with players using cards either to increase their resources or to recruit explorers. Explorer cards provide income and special abilities, including extra turns, additional cards, and taking equipment or explorers from opponents. When a player plays their final card, the round ends. Players earn coins from their explorers, then lose coins for cards remaining in hand. After three rounds, the player with the most money wins. An expert mode adds asymmetric starting resources and a unique ability for each player.
