Play proceeds cooperatively as the team gathers clues, narrows diagnostic possibilities using research sheets and treatment outcomes, and scores points for correct decisions and patient survival. A guided tutorial case teaches the flow and mechanics; four main patient files offer varying difficulty and require timely, coordinated action to uncover underlying causes before the night ends.
