1867: The Railways of Canada

An 18xx-style railway economic game set on a map of southern Ontario and Quebec where players found and operate railway companies, lay track, run trains, and buy and sell shares to build network value. Minor companies are auctioned with players choosing each minor’s starting location when it is placed. A state-owned railway automatically takes the next available new train each round rather than operating and banking trains, which accelerates train progression and shortens the game relative to its predecessor.
