18EU: Railroading in Europe From the 1830s to the 1930s

Players operate rail companies across a map of Europe from France and northern Germany down to middle Italy and Austria–Poland, laying track and upgrading lines through mountainous terrain that raises tile costs. The game begins with auctions for fifteen minor companies that pay split dividends to owners and then merge into larger corporations. Play alternates sets of two operating rounds, where companies run trains and earn income, with intervening stock rounds to buy and sell shares and influence corporate control. Long off‑map runs yield endgame bonuses that can produce large incomes. Victory goes to the player with the largest private fortune after balancing personal cash and company treasuries.
