Gateway Island

A compact introduction to modern board games presented as 21 distinct mini-games that explore different mechanics. Each mini-game uses the set’s jumbo cards and common components (cubes, disks, a die) and provides short, accessible rules designed for quick learning. Games cover a broad range of styles—drafting, worker placement, bluffing, racing, party play, dungeon-crawl elements, and more—so players can sample many systems in a single session. The box includes a rulebook for all mini-games and a supplemental booklet that defines common terms and components. After playing, the rulebook suggests one or two longer games to try next based on which mini-games players enjoy.
