All Roads Lead to Conquest
A marauding army of Hyperborean raiders overruns the Fers Kingdom, trapping the player characters in the hamlet of Ragnit. They must choose one of three routes to escape: cross a monster-haunted mountain pass, navigate caverns containing an undying evil, or infiltrate the enemy camp as unwilling servants. This Level 0 funnel presents three distinct challenges: brutal combat, puzzle-solving, and social manipulation. The adventure concludes with a rules-light minigame for resolving a large-scale fantasy battle, keeping the focus on dramatic events and the characters’ struggle for survival.
