Battletech: Essentials

Pilot massive walking war machines in one-on-one and small-scale arena battles set on a star-spanning fighting circuit. Players outfit and maneuver highly customizable BattleMechs across a gridded map, resolve ranged and melee attacks with dice and damage tracking, and manage heat, ammunition, and system failures as the match unfolds. The boxed set streamlines play with quick-start rules, two prepainted miniatures, pilot ability cards, a mapsheet, and dice to get games running quickly. Matches emphasize tactical positioning, weapon arcs, and resource management as players try to outmaneuver and outgun opponents in short arena scenarios.
