A Starfleet crew responds to a distress signal from an abandoned planet whose star has expanded into a red giant. In a city near the southern polar regions, they investigate the possibility of surviving natives, interstellar scavengers, or archaeologists while remaining alert to a potential Romulan threat. This standalone adventure for the Star Trek Adventures roleplaying game places the crew in a mystery involving past memories and distorted perceptions. They must escape their delusions and uncover the truth behind the distress call.
