City Encounters: Swords & Wizardry Rules
A city encounter supplement for old-school fantasy roleplaying, written for Swords & Wizardry and adaptable to other early-edition systems. It provides 200 daytime and 200 nighttime encounters featuring non-player characters with names, objectives, abilities, and unusual activities. Many encounters include alternate outcomes, allowing them to be reused or adjusted to fit the group. Cross-references connect encounters that can develop into larger adventures, while recurring villains, heroes, and eccentric figures can return as opponents, allies, or contacts amid factional conflict, sorcery, skulduggery, arson, anarchism, and necromancy.
