Divine Champion Class
A martial character class for Shadowdark RPG, the divine champion serves Law, Chaos, or Balance in the struggle over the mortal world. Champions gain strong defenses against opposing forces, immunity to mundane and magical disease, and a pool of divine power earned through pious acts. The class focuses on combat, with access to some fighter abilities, limited magical powers, and the ability to heal allies and innocents through Lay on Hands. As champions advance, they choose alignment-themed divine powers that shape their role as paladins, anti-paladins, or agents of cosmic Balance.
