Dragonbond: Battles of Valerna

Players command armies of dragons, commanders, heroes, monsters and soldiers in tabletop battles across scenarios set in a fantasy realm. Turn structure uses unit activation via fatigue tokens: placing tokens lets a unit act but reduces its future effectiveness, forcing trade-offs between immediate action and conserving forces. Units move, attack and contest objectives to score points over four rounds. Combat uses three tiers of dice determined by tactical positioning and fatigue, with advantageous positions upgrading attack or defense dice and disadvantages weakening them. Armies are built modularly and can form a bond between a dragon and a commander that boosts both at the risk of losing both if one is killed.
