The party enters Altic, a city of 7,500 inhabitants where only the principality’s guard may carry weapons. After violating a local law, the visitors receive a one-gold-piece fine, surrender their weapons until they leave, and must report weekly to the inspector Raúl. A local tutor, Bread the plaza baker and gentleman, is assigned to monitor their conduct.
