Force of Nature
Porthaven, a coastal city protected for centuries by an arcane machine, faces earthquakes, tidal waves, volcanic eruptions, and other disasters after the device runs out of fuel. The characters must investigate the machine and travel to the four elemental planes to obtain what it needs before the city is destroyed. This short adventure is designed for four 18th-level characters and can be placed in any coastal region near mountains. As the city is evacuated through limited magical portals, the characters race against advancing lava, fire, ash, and floodwaters to restore its forgotten protection.
