A Weird West story follows Jim Wright as he flees Denver and travels by riverboat to New Orleans, where he investigates the people trying to kill him and the connection between a gambler and his murdered partner in the Disputed Lands. The book combines the fictional narrative with an adventure scenario and includes 16 pages of rules for converting Deadlands material to GURPS Deadlands.
