Island of the Dead God
This setting book explores the Baltic island of Rügen, once the stronghold of the Old Faith and the center of worship for the Slavic god Svetovid. Following the fall of the temple-fortress at Arkona in 1168, the Valdaermen, Messianic Voices, and Old Faith contend for control of the island’s abundant Wellsprings of Quintessence. An ancient evil has also escaped from beneath Rügen, spreading whispers of madness and corruption among the island’s inhabitants. The book provides background, factions, magical resources, and story material for Dark Ages: Mages.
