Kitsunemori Campaign Setting
A fantasy roleplaying setting inspired by Japanese folklore and the chambara genre. The Yonhosu Valley contains four feudal lands connected by forest roads, shrines, and guarded border outposts, and can be used as a self-contained region or added to an existing world. Players explore a setting shaped by Shinto and Buddhist traditions, where kitsune serve as both mischievous spirits and messengers of Inari. Tanuki, tengu, kappa, oni, bakemono, samurai, and ronin also inhabit the valley, providing a backdrop for supernatural encounters, political tensions, and clashes of honor.
