Land of the Samurai
A historical-fantasy roleplaying setting set during Japan’s Heian Period, as Shinto traditions give way to Buddhism and the samurai rise to power. It provides new professions and backgrounds, character-creation guidance, and information on Imperial life, religion, social customs, and martial classes. The setting includes Japanese monsters and legends, rules and advice for introducing ninjas, and themes of honour, duty, and spiritual conflict. A scenario and additional guidance for Games Masters support play in this period.
