Hero factions clash over allegiance, introducing split hero cards that force players to pick sides during play. Players draft and play hero cards, recruit sidekicks, and build decks to fight a rotating Mastermind and thwart schemes from opposing factions. New mechanics include sidekick cards (including animal-themed allies) and wound effects that hamper players' decks, recreating the Civil War storyline through card-driven conflict and team composition choices.
