Monty's Gamble: Market Garden

A tactical simulation of the Allied airborne drive into Holland in 1944. Players command Allied paratroopers, armor and XXX Corps advancing up a narrow corridor and German forces contesting bridges, roads and supply lines. Play uses an area-impulse, semi-simultaneous movement system that forces alternating responses and local decision-making; actions may be countered by the opponent and turns can end early due to a variable turn length. Scenarios cover a short four-day game and longer multi-day campaigns. Components include a large map, counters, setup cards and dice, with a rules section that includes historical notes and designer commentary.
