In the year of the Zodac-no-Kara, adventurers search a land where magic is being drained away. They travel across Nehwon and into Shadowland to recover powerful magical items and return them to Aarth for safekeeping. Along the way, the party faces cold, heat, water, ice, and a test of riddles while trying to survive the quest and prove its worth.
