Ocean Crisis

Ocean Crisis is a board game for 2–5 players. It plays in 30–60 minutes and is meant for ages 8 and up. Ludoya players call it best with 4.

Players take on the role of ocean defenders working together to prevent the formation of a massive garbage patch by stopping yearly plastic waste from accumulating. Each turn adds waste to rivers, shores, and the sea; players place workers to perform clean-up or launch environmental activities, then resolve dice-based clean-up and move trash downstream as the ocean current board shifts pieces toward the Garbage Patch. Environmental activities grant lasting benefits such as recycling skills, research into specific debris types, reusable product implementation, or building autonomous cleanup machines. Players win by surviving six turns without the Garbage Patch completing; optional scenarios add focused missions like dolphin rescue, turtle nesting protection, and shark defense.
