A foundational fantasy role-playing rulebook for creating player characters and beginning a campaign in an old-school sword-and-sorcery setting. It presents guidance for fighters, thieves, clerics, magic-users, demi-humans, alignment, spells, saving throws, undead, sanity, and character abilities, with optional rules that allow groups to choose their preferred level of complexity.
