Orléans: The Plague

A deadly epidemic afflicts the city and alters the standard setup and events. Rat cards introduce harsher starting conditions, such as fewer monks, restrictions on placing gears, or extra costs for trading stations. Players draw and must carry corpse tokens in their bag each round, which clog the marketplace and cannot be used for actions until removed. New indulgence cards and pilgrimage or donation options let players discard corpse tokens and score points. Each player receives a plague doctor figure that can be used in most rounds to help mitigate the effects.
