Ortus Regni: Shire

A variant for 2–6 players set in the largest and most powerful shire in Mercia. Players claim Burhs, or towns, each offering a distinct service to its overlord, from skilled warriors to persuasive lords and allies or loyal, capable vassals. Burhs must be chosen carefully to complement each player's strengths and offset weaknesses.
