Newspaper magnates compete for circulation in 19th-century New York during the era of yellow journalism. Players assign reporters to popular stories across five news beats: War, Crime & Calamity, New York City, Politics, and the Human Condition. When the presses roll, majority control lets players claim stories and assemble them on their front pages, scoring according to each beat’s current value. Star symbols provide endgame bonuses for leading each news beat, while publishing newspapers advances players on the circulation track. The player farthest along the track when the game ends wins.

Garfield6.0 Ok. Quick. But not much going on here...
Evan2.5 In this game, players aim to be the first to publish three editions of their small newspaper. To do this, you compete to be the first to grab stories that fit into your front page layout, and players are rewarded based on how 'hot' the type of story is. Despite this being primarily a race game, you are competing for points, and there are rewards when someone snatches a tile out from under your meeple. Good, although it's possible to fall behind though multiple players happening to block you more than they block other players. In each play, as we got towards the end of the game, we always experienced what seemed like an odd shortage of story tiles available to compete for. We also would wind up with these strange leapfrog blocking moments, where players would sort of block each other back and forth until someone got bored and did something else. ★ Art, Iconography and components functional ☆ Clever or interesting mechanisms ★ Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players ★ Multiple plays stay interesting ★ Low or mitigatable luck elements ☆☆☆☆☆ Raw enjoyment
Kush4.6 Nice theme and qaulity. KS game. Easy to learn and teach...quick play. Not deep enough for me but good for light strategy games with f & f.
