プレイヤーは、戦場で要塞化された町や敵対するヤールに対して略奪隊を率います。本作では、拡張された町ボード、敵のヤールトークンとカード、利用できるアクションや遭遇内容を変化させる新たな町民が追加されます。 ヤールとの戦闘では名声を獲得できますが、ダメージも受けるため、プレイヤーは乗組員を集め、資源を集め、略奪を計画しながら、リスクとリターンのバランスを取ります。追加プレイヤーに対応するコンポーネントにより、プレイ人数と相互作用が増加します。
