Soldiers of Pen and Ink
A Trail of Cthulhu campaign set during the Siege of Madrid in 1936. The investigators arrive in Spain to film a documentary supporting the Republican cause, but become trapped when a member of their team disappears. As they investigate, they must navigate rival ideologies, Communist suspicion, Fascist forces, and an inhuman cult while trying to preserve their sanity and rescue their missing comrade. The campaign provides historical background for the Spanish Civil War, allowing investigators to be played as inexperienced idealists caught between political oppression and supernatural horror.
